Samsung is gearing up to unveil its next-generation flagship Galaxy S25 series later this month. After the Unpacked event, the attention will shift towards the company’s mid-range Galaxy A-series phones, especially the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36. They are expected to debut in the first quarter of this year. The two upcoming devices have already surfaced in plenty of leaks and rumours revealing details. Now, the Galaxy A56 has been spotted on MIIT certification website in China that mentions its battery capacity.

  • The certification site also reveals that the upcoming offering will ship with Android 15 OS out of the box which will likely be based on OneUI 7.
  • It will come with support for dual-SIM, 5G, WiFi-6E, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.

The regulatory listing does not reveal any additional details of the Galaxy A56. Back in November, we had spotted the device on 3C certification hinting at the first Galaxy A-series phone to come with support for 45W charging speed compared to 25W on its predecessor. As per leaked renders, the Galaxy A56 will retain the flat frame and key island from the previous model. It will feature a pill-shaped protruding camera island instead of individual rings. The device is rumoured to come with an FHD+ Dynamic 120Hz AMOLED display, an Exynos 1580 SoC, up to 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 50MP+12MP+5MP camera setup.

If the launch timelines of the predecessor models are anything to go by, then Samsung may continue the tradition of launching this year’s Galaxy A56 and A36 in March. The upcoming offering will reportedly start at £439 (approx Rs 47,200) compared to Rs 39,999 price tag of the A55.
