Shortly after the upcoming flagship Galaxy S25 lineup global launch on January 22nd, the next major announcement from Samsung is expected to be the mid-premium Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36. Rumours have it that the phones might debut within the first quarter of the year. We have already seen the support pages go live on the Samsung France website. Amidst the anticipation, the Galaxy A56 has received China’s TENAA certification which reveals images of the phone.

  • The Samsung Galaxy A56 images on TENAA match the renders that leaked earlier. The Samsung Galaxy A56 has a large vertical module on the back panel, aligned towards the left corner. This houses the triple camera sensors. The LED flash is present beside the camera area.
  • There is also Samsung’s ‘key island’, which is a slightly raised platform on the right edge that houses the power button and volume rocker.

    • The front appears to house the punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter. We see the phone in a dark grey-ish type of colour in the TENAA images.

      That’s pretty much everything that is revealed about the Samsung Galaxy A56 through TENAA certification at the moment. The listing doesn’t seem to have the specifications yet.

      Samsung Galaxy A56 specifications: what we know so far

      Samsung Galaxy A56 specifications and price details have leaked in previous leaks, hinting us on what to expect. The handset also bagged the MIIT and 3C certifications in recent times.

      • Display: The Samsung Galaxy A56 is tipped to arrive with an FHD+ 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED display. However, the display size is kept under wraps at the moment.
      • Processor: The phone is expected to be powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset, compared to Exynos 1480 on the Galaxy A55.
      • Cameras: The handset is said to feature a triple camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP lens, and a 12MP unit. This is similar to the Galaxy A55. We might see a 12MP lens on the front for selfies compared to a 32MP unit on the predecessor.
      • OS: Android 15 OS with One UI custom skin.
      • Battery: The Galaxy A56 might house a 5,000mAh battery but the fast charging speed might be bumped up to 45W from 25W.
      • Memory: The phone could be available in two configurations: 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB.

      The Samsung Galaxy A56 is tipped to cost £439 (approx Rs 47,200) globally, similar to the predecessor when it launched last year. In India, the Galaxy A55 debuted at a starting price of Rs 39,999. We can expect the successor to cost around the same range. The Samsung Galaxy A56 might go official in India in March, which is when the Galaxy A55 debuted last year.
