Samsung Galaxy A36 is believed to be in the works as a new A-series offering that will succeed the Galaxy A35. The handset appeared on Geekbench last month and hardware details of the phone have now leaked online.
The Samsung Galaxy A3x-series is a mid-range offering from the brand and is usually among the top sellers. The lineup offers a balance of good performance and decent cameras.
Samsung Galaxy A36 camera details
- The Samsung Galaxy A36 camera specifications have been leaked by GalaxyClub.
- The report claims the upcoming A-series model will feature a 50MP primary camera sensor, similar to the predecessor.
- The front camera is said to be a 12MP unit, compared to the 13MP lens on the Galaxy A35. The report says despite the lower pixels, there’s a good chance this will bring a “marked improvement” compared to the 13MP sensor.
- GalaxyClub notes the 12MP front camera on the Galaxy A56 will be a different sensor than the one on the Galaxy A36. This is said to be the company’s way of differentiating the phones. The Galaxy A3x and Galaxy A5x usually have a considerable price difference.
- Details regarding the other rear cameras are not mentioned at the moment but the report notes they should be updated shortly. Having said that, the folks at GalaxyClub speculate the other two rear camera sensors might remain unchanged from the Galaxy A35, which has a 5MP macro and an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens.

The Samsung Galaxy A36 leaked renders revealed the complete design of the phone. The images showed the phone will get a slightly redesigned camera module, where the sensors are placed in a housing compared to separately without any borders.
The Samsung Galaxy A36 Geekbench listing revealed some specs like an octa-core processor, Android 15 OS, and 6GB RAM. The chipset is speculated to be Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.
Considering the Galaxy A35 debuted in India in March this year, the successor could come around the same time in 2025.
