Samsung Galaxy A16 5G India pricing details have been made official. The smartphone was teased earlier this month and it is now available to purchase in India. The Galaxy A16 5G is the first mid-range A Series smartphone to launch with six generations of OS upgrades. The smartphone still comes with a notch display and not a punch-hole camera like other phones in the same price segment. • Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is priced at Rs 18,999 for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. 
• The smartphone comes in another variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and this one’s priced at Rs 21,999. There’s a bank cashback of up to Rs 1,000 on Axis and SBI credit cards. 
• The Galaxy A16 5G is available to purchase starting today from retail stores, Samsung.com, Amazon, and Flipkart.
• It comes in three colour options: Gold, Light Green and Blue Black.

Samsung Galaxy A16 5G: what’s new?

The Galaxy A16 5G looks quite like its predecessor, the Galaxy A15. It has the same notch display and flat edges. The new model has a slightly bigger screen than the Galaxy A15 5G’s 6.5-inch display. It however comes with the same camera setup. Samsung has increased the RAM to 8GB from 6GB on the Galaxy A16 5G. And other than the six-year software update policy, rest of the specifications are similar between the two phones.

• Display: The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 1080 X 2340 pixels resolution, and a waterdrop notch.
• Processor: The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset.
• RAM and storage: The smartphone comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage that can be expanded up to 1.5TB via a microSD card.
• Cameras: The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G features a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens at the back. It has a 13MP front camera for selfies.
• Software: The Galaxy A16 5G runs Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 custom skin out of the box. It will get six Android OS upgrades and security updates.
• Battery, charging: The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
