Samsung Galaxy A16 series, including 4G and 5G models has long been in the works and is expected to debut globally soon. The complete specifications of the phones were recently leaked online, leaving nothing to the imagination. While we wait for the announcement, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G has been officially listed on the Samsung Netherlands website but the price details are not revealed at the moment. A report also said the Galaxy A16 5G India launch is said to happen this month.

Samsung Galaxy A-series has models ranging from budget segment to mid-range segment. The top-end Galaxy A55 is currently priced at Rs 42,999. The Samsung Galaxy A16 should be placed under Rs 20,000.

Samsung Galaxy A16 5G specifications, features

• Display: The listing confirms the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G will sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 1080 X 2340 pixels resolution and a waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper.
• Processor: While the chipset details are not mentioned on the official website, the 5G version is believed to be powered by the Exynos 1330 chipset. In comparison, the Galaxy A15 5G comes with Dimensity 6100+ SoC.
• RAM/Storage: The SoC is paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that is further expandable via a microSD card.

• OS: The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G runs on Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 custom skin out of the box. The company is promising 6 years of OS updates, which is the longest for a budget segment model.
• Cameras: The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G features a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro unit. There is a 13MP snapper on the front for selfies. This is the same camera setup as the Galaxy A15 5G
• Connectivity: 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
• Others: The phone packs a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and an IP54 rating for splash resistance.
• Battery: The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging but the adapter is sold separately. This is the same setup as the Galaxy A15 5G.
• Dimensions: The phone measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9 and weighs 200 grams.

The official Samsung website confirms the Galaxy A16 5G will be available in Blue Black, Light Green, and Light Gray colours (translated names). The price details of the phone are not revealed at the moment but should be out soon.
