Samsung Galaxy A16 has been in the news lately, with the India support page going live and various certifications popping up. This hints at the imminent launch announcement  which could happen with two variations: one with 5G and the other with 4G LTE support. 91mobiles has spotted the Samsung Galaxy A16 4G and Galaxy A16 5G models on the FCC and the TUV Rheinland certifications, which reveal certain features and specs.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 models would be the brand’s upcoming budget offerings that will succeed the Galaxy A15, which launched in December 2023.

• The Samsung Galaxy A16 4G appeared on USA’s FCC certification platform with the image of the ‘Status Information’ of the phone, which shows the Mac address, Wi-Fi Mac Address, and serial number.

• The TUV Rheinland listing confirms that both phones will support 18W fast charging (at 9v and 2.77 A) but may have a 25W adapter in the box.

• The listings confirm that we will see 18W fast charging (at 9v and 2.77 A) but could be bundled with a 25W adapter.

Samsung Galaxy A16 4G and 5G: what we know so far

Samsung Galaxy A16 4G and Galaxy A16 5G were recently listed on the Samsung India website, hinting the launch might be around the corner. The 5G version also made an appearance on the NBTC platform, hinting at wider availability.

A recent report indicated the 5G version will be launching before the end of this month and may come with 6 years of OS updates. The design of the phone is already revealed through the alleged leaked renders.

• Display: The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is tipped to sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity U display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 800 nits high brightness mode.
• Processor: The phone could be available in two models: one that is powered by the Exynos 1330 and the other with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipsets, with the latter coming to India.
• RAM and storage: Up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is further expandable via a microSD card.
• Software: Android 14 out of the box.
