Samsung Galaxy A-series phones could come with ‘Awesome Intelligence’ features | Tech Tips

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy A56 and A36 in Q1, 2025 following the launch timeline of their predecessors. Their predecessor models received the Circle to Search feature last year. However, they missed out on the Galaxy AI that is found on the flagship S-series phones. Now, a trademark application submitted by the South Korean brand in the US, Europe, and South Korea suggests that this year’s Galaxy A-series may come with more AI features onboard. 

Samsung trademark hints at AI features on A-series

• The trademark application was filed (via) by Samsung on January 9,2025. 
• The company has registered the phrase ‘Awesome Intelligence‘. 
• However, the listing does not explicitly mention Galaxy A anywhere. 
• Over the last few years, the South Korean brand has marketed the Galaxy A-series phones with the use of ‘awesome’ many times. 
• Hence the ‘Awesome Intelligence’ buzzword suggests that the forthcoming Galaxy A phones will come with AI features. 
• Additionally, the phrase is also abbreviated to AI. 

• The AI features should be first available for the Galaxy A56 as the device is expected to be powered by a capable Exynos 1580 SoC coupled with 12GB RAM. 
• The Galaxy A36 could be the next in the list to receive. 
• It remains unclear what set of AI features Samsung will bring to the mid-range Galaxy A-lineup. Whether or not they will expand to older devices is also a mystery. 
• If the report indeed turns out to be true, the introduction of AI on the smartphones will offer a premium and enhanced user experience. 
• Samsung’s competitor brands already offer plenty of AI features on their phones across various price segments. 
• The Galaxy AI comes with some notable features like Live Translate, AI summarisation, Generative Edit, Chat Assist, and more. 

Both the Galaxy A56 and A36 have surfaced in multiple leaks and rumors. Going by the latest leak, they could be the first Samsung non-flagship to adopt AI features. The A56 is reported to start at £439 (approx Rs 47,200) compared to Rs 39,999 price tag of the A55. The pricing of the A36 is yet to leak but its predecessor was launched at Rs 30,999.
