Samsung brings Vision AI to its Smart TV lineup at CES 2025 | Tech Tips
Samsung’s smart TV lineup will now feature on-device AI capabilities with Vision AI, introduced at CES 2025. Vision AI makes the Smart TV aware of its surroundings, adapts to user preferences, and simplifies interactions. Let’s take a closer look at what features it brings with it:
Samsung Vision AI: features
- Click to Search lets you instantly find information about whatever’s on your screen, whether it’s identifying an actor or digging deeper into content, without breaking your viewing flow.
- Live Translate uses on-device AI to provide real-time subtitle translations, making it super easy to enjoy content from around the world without any language barriers.
- Generative Wallpaper turns your screen into a personalised art canvas, letting you create images that perfectly match your style or mood.
Samsung Vision AI also integrates with the SmartThings ecosystem to make your screens a hub for smarter living:
- Home Insights keeps you in the loop with real-time updates about your home, from safety alerts to daily summaries, so you can have peace of mind whether you’re home or away.
- Pet and Family Care keeps an eye on your loved ones, recognising unusual behaviour and adjusting settings like dimming the lights when your child falls asleep. You’ll also get real-time updates and recorded events straight to your TV.
- On-device AI picture and sound technologies work in real time, analysing both the content and environmental factors to automatically adjust visuals and audio to optimise your multimedia experience.
Samsung has also partnered with Microsoft to bring CoPilot to its Smart TVs and Smart Monitors. Vision AI will come to its product series, including Neo QLED, OLED, and QLED, and the Frame models. Samsung has also introduced its flagship Neo QLED 8K QN990F TV with the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor. The TV leverages a suite of on-device AI features to enhance picture quality, sound clarity, and overall viewing experience. It comes with smart tech like 8K AI Upscaling Pro, Color Boost Pro, etc.
