MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset expected details
The MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset is yet to be announced and will compete with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. It will likely be equipped with the TSMC 3nm process, and its single-core performance is anticipated to be 30 percent higher than the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, which powers the Vivo X100 series.
Though not confirmed, the SoC is expected to feature an octa-core architecture consisting of a single Cortex-X5 prime core running at a 3.4GHz frequency, three Cortex-X4 performance cores, and four Cortex-A720 efficiency cores. Also, it is anticipated that the frequency of the prime core will increase by the time the processor is launched.
The yet-to-be-launched MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC is speculated to be equipped in smartphones like the Vivo X200, Vivo X200 Pro, OPPO Find X8, OPPO Find X8 Pro and Redmi K80 Ultra. Also, the chipset is expected to include improved AI image generation capabilities compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset.
