Redmi Note 14 series launch is confirmed to take place later this month in China. Xiaomi has started teasing the upcoming Redmi phones and it has now revealed their design. The Redmi Note 14 series will feature a redesigned camera module in comparison to the Redmi Note 13 series. Here’s what has been revealed so far. 

Redmi Note 14 series design teased

• Xiaomi on Weibo announced the Redmi Note 14 series will launch in China next week. The announcement was made along with a teaser image showing the Redmi Note 14 series design.
• The image shows the back design of the Redmi Note 14 series confirming a new camera module. Instead of the square camera island on the Redmi Note 13 series, the Redmi Note 14 series has a squircle design.
• There are two phones here in green and white colours and with a slightly different camera design for each of them. In one, the sensors blend with the camera module and have a distinct metal frame around them. The other shows the sensors are thick and protruding from the camera module. 

The Weibo post also highlights the Redmi Note 14 series’ durability. Xiaomi says that the Redmi Note 14 series will offer a new level of drop resistance and waterproofness. This suggests that the new Redmi phones will come with better durability and a higher IP rating. Last year only the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ had an IP68 rating, while the other two models had IP54.

Redmi’s General Manager Thomas Wang had also teased the same adding that the Redmi Note 14 series will come with better battery life as well. 

Redmi Note 14 Pro+ fast charging details leaked

In related news, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ fast charging details were revealed through the phone’s 3C certification. According to a report by GizmoChina, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ will come with 90W fast charging support based on the 3C certification. Here, the phone was spotted with the model number 24115RA8EG, which is said to be associated with the Redmi Note 14 Pro+. 

This would be a downgrade as the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ comes with 120W fast charging support. Even the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has the same fast charging speed. The downgrade might have to do with a bigger battery capacity for the Redmi Note 14 Pro+. The vanilla Redmi Note 14 on the other hand, will get a fast charging upgrade as it’s expected to increase from 33W to 45W.
