Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G reportedly receiving HyperOS 2 update globally | Tech Tips

Xiaomi is taking its time in pushing out the HyperOS 2 update to eligible devices. The new one to join the list is the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, which is now reportedly receiving the upgrade in the European Economic Area (EEA) region. HyperOS 2 brings visual enhancements, and new features, optimises app performance and much more.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is receiving the HyperOS 2 update with the build number OS2.0.2.0.VNREUXM, as reported by GizChina. The HyperOS 2 update is based on Android 15 and weighs 5.5GB in size. You can check for the update from Settings > About Phone > System Updates. As said, the HyperOS 2 is available in the European Economic Area and should gradually reach more regions in the days to come. 

• Besides the Redmi Note 13 Pro, the report notes the POCO X6 will be next in line to get the HyperOS 2 update in the region.
• Several other Xiaomi/Redmi/POCO devices are scheduled to receive the update. The company revealed the global rollout timeline last month.
• However, Xiaomi hasn’t mentioned India-specific schedule for HyperOS 2 yet.

New features

• The upgrade brings a new Alive Design, which is said to bring a fresh new design across the whole system and is said to offer smooth interactions.
• There is a new Artistic Lockscreen, which brings new lockscreen templates and effects.
• The update brings a revamped Gallery with AI smarts, a new Weather app that offers real atmospheric conditions and an improved Calendar app.
• HyperOS 2 on Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G optimises the speed and responsiveness of apps for smoother performance.
• The update also brings improved system transitions, which are claimed to feel smooth when navigating through the UI or interacting with notifications.
• We also get a cross-device clipboard, which allows you to copy-paste between devices. There will also be device-specific AI features as well.
