Redmi K80 Ultra specifications tipped: MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, 6500mAh battery and more | Tech Tips

Redmi K80 series, comprising of Redmi K80 and K80 Pro launched in China back in November 2024. These premium phones from the brand arrive with the Snapdragon 8-series chipsets, large-capacity battery and a 2K AMOLED display. In the latest development, key specifications of what is believed to be the Redmi K80 Ultra have leaked on Weibo.

Possible Redmi K80 Ultra specifications

• Noted tipster DigitalChatStation, without naming the phone explicitly has shared some details in the latest Weibo post.
• The handset in question is said to be (via) to be the Redmi K80 Ultra, the successor to the Redmi K70 Ultra.

• As per DCS, the current engineering prototype of the alleged Redmi K80 Ultra features a 1.5K display with flat edges and narrow bezels.
• The phone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC, compared to the Dimensity 9300+ on the predecessor.
• The handset is said to feature a metal middle frame, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
• The possible Redmi K80 Ultra could house a 6,500mAh battery. In comparison, the Redmi K70 Ultra has a 5,500mAh cell.
• Given the predecessor launched in China back in July 2024, there are chances the Redmi K80 Ultra may also debut around the same timeline later this year.
• However, the Redmi K80 Ultra may not launch in India considering the predecessor hasn’t made it to the country.

Phones with MediaTek Dimensity 9400+

• In a separate leak, DCS says that phones with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset will arrive around mid-2025.
• While he hasn’t explicitly mentioned any brands or marketing names of the models, Realme, iQOO, and OnePlus are said to be among them.

• All phones are tipped to feature a 1.5K straight display, a large main camera sensor, 7,000mAh battery capacities, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
• The handsets may feature a metal middle frame and a glass/fibreglass body for durability. 
• It is said that iQOO might be the first to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC.
