Redmi K80 Pro camera and battery details confirmed ahead of launch | Tech Tips
The Redmi K80 Series is set to debut in China on November 27th. The brand has been dropping teasers about the upcoming smartphones. Now two days before the launch event, Redmi has revealed key details of the K80 Pro’s camera setup. The device has also been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.
Redmi K80 Pro camera details confirmed
- The triple camera setup on the Redmi K80 Pro is confirmed to include a 50MP Sony LYT-800 main sensor.
- It will be paired with a 50MP telephoto lens with support for OIS.
- The sensor will use a floating lens mechanism found on the flagship Xiaomi 15 series.
- It will support 2.5x zoom and enable users to capture close-up shots 10cm from the subject.
- The Xiaomi sub-brand is also upgrading the third ultra-wide-angle lens on the Redmi K80 Pro.
- It is confirmed to feature a 32MP sensor with a 120-degree field of view. To recall, the Redmi K70 Pro has a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
- The Redmi K80 Pro is also teased to feature the company’s imaging algorithm called the Xiaomi AISP.
- In another teaser shared a few days ago, the upcoming Redmi phone is said to be backed by a huge 6,000mAh battery with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
- Meanwhile, as per Geekbench, the Redmi K80 Pro scores 3,050 and 9,216 points in single-core and multi-core test results respectively.
Other key details of the Redmi K80 Pro have already been confirmed. The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and feature a dual-loop 3D ice-sealed system for heat dissipation. It will also feature a dedicated D1 chipset for improved gaming performance. The Redmi K80 Pro is also confirmed to feature IP68+IP69 certification and a 2K OLED display integrated with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
