Redmi K80, K80 Pro specifications leaked ahead of China launch | Tech Tips

Redmi K80 and K80 Pro will launch as part of the brand’s flagship series with the former acting as a flagship alternative. The official launch date hasn’t been revealed but Redmi is expected to launch the K80 series in China by the end of this month. The Redmi K80 is tipped to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Pro model gets the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. 

Redmi K80, K80 Pro specifications leaked

The Redmi K80 series specifications were leaked on Weibo by tipster Experience More (via GizmoChina). The leak has all the key specifications of both phones including details about the fingerprint sensor and build. Let’s take a look at all the details:

Redmi K80 Pro specifications:

• Display: 2K Huaxing LTPS panel with a flat display
• Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor
• Cameras: 50MP Omnivision OV50 primary camera, 32MP ultra-wide camera, and 50MP ISOCELL JN5 telephoto lens with 2.6x optical zoom. 20MP front camera. 
• Battery, charging: 6000mAh battery, 120W wired, and 50W wireless charging support.
• Build, security: Metal middle frame with Dragon Crystal Build on the front and back, IP68 rating, and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. 

Redmi K80 specifications:

• Display: 2K Huaxing LTPS panel with a flat display
• Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
• Cameras: 50MP Omnivision OV50 primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and 2MP macro lens. 20MP Omnivision OV20B front camera. 
• Battery, charging: 6,500mAh battery, 90W fast charging support. 
• Build, security: Metal middle frame with Dragon Crystal Glass on the front and back, IP68 rating, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. 

Based on the leaked specifications, the Redmi K80 Pro and Redmi K80 will differ majorly in the chipset and camera department. The vanilla Redmi K80 gets a bigger battery but with slower charging than the Pro model. The rest of the specifications are similar between the two phones. 

As seen with previous models, the Redmi K80 series is expected to launch globally and in India as POCO phones. It could be part of the POCO F or X series.
