Reddit user claims buying iPhone 16 only for Rs 27,000: here’s how | Tech Tips
The iPhone 16 was launched recently at a starting price of Rs 79,900 for the 128GB variant. However, a Reddit user claims that he purchased the iPhone 16 with a higher 256GB storage only for around Rs 27,000, which has amused several users. While the model originally cost Rs 89,900, here’s how the user availed it with such a huge discount.
Here’s how Reddit user availed iPhone 16 for Rs 27,000
- A Reddit user named Wild_Muscle3506 posted details about purchasing an iPhone 16 for Rs 26,970, down from the retail price of Rs 89,900.
- It is worth noting that the user managed to save Rs 62,930 by redeeming reward points from their HDFC Infinia credit card.
- To achieve this discount, the user said they had accumulated a significant number of reward points through large purchases.
Additionally, in response to another user’s question about their regret over using a different card, the user explained that they had chosen their Amazon Pay card for jewelry purchases to earn 1 percent cashback. They believed the Infinia card wouldn’t provide points for jewelry but later discovered that it did.
The iPhone 16 starts at Rs 79,900 and goes up to Rs 1,09,900, depending upon the variant. It features a redesigned camera setup, which is now vertical instead of diagonal. It is touted to be 50 percent stronger compared to previous models. It features a new Action button and a Camera Control button and is equipped with the A18 chipset.
Furthermore, while the newly announced iPhone 16 series is up for grabs at its original price (except for reward points and bank offers), the iPhone 15 series was recently available at a discounted price on Flipkart.
