Realme GT 7 tipped to arrive next month as the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite phone | Tech Tips
Earlier today, the Realme Neo 7 SE bagged the 3C certification. It is already confirmed to debut in China next month with Dimensity 8400 Ultra. Now, a Chinese tipster on Weibo shares that the brand will launch a new GT phone alongside the Neo 7 SE. The device is tipped to be the Realme GT 7. It is expected to arrive as the successor to the GT 6 that was announced in June last year. It’s worth noting that Realme is yet to share any official details on the upcoming offering.
Realme GT 7 details, launch timeline tipped
- As per the tipster, the Realme GT 7 is said to be the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphone.
- It will reportedly cost cheaper than the China-exclusive OnePlus Ace 5 Pro that starts at CNY 3,399 (~Rs 40,215).
- The upcoming GT 7 has already passed the 3C certification confirming support for 120W fast charging.
- It was also spotted on TENAA certification site with the model number RMX5090.
- As per the listing, the device will have dual cameras consisting of a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
- The lack of periscope camera has been reiterated by the tipster.
- The GT 7 Pro has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. However, the upcoming GT 7 is not expected to come with the same and the brand may instead opt for an optical fingerprint scanner.
- The tipster adds that the Realme GT 7 may share the rest of the similarities as the Pro model.
- The TENAA listing revealed that the GT 7 will come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display bearing a 1.5K resolution. The images show a design identical to the GT 7 Pro.
- The smartphone is expected to come in multiple RAM and storage configurations going up to 24GB and 1TB respectively.
The Realme GT 6 debuted in India last July at a starting price tag of Rs 40,999. It remains to be seen when its successor – the Realme GT 7 will be launched in India. We can expect the brand to share official details about the upcoming offering.
