What’s new on the Realme GT 7 Pro?

Realme GT 7 Pro arrives as a follow-up to the Realme GT 5 Pro from last year. The main upgrade this time is the chipset: we get the Snapdragon 8 Elite in place of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The phone now gets support for a range of AI features to enhance the user experience. While the display size is the same, the GT 7 Pro gets support for a wider colour gamut at 120 percent and there’s 6,000nits HDR brightness.

The 32MP selfie camera on the Realme GT 5 Pro is downgraded to a 16MP lens on the GT 7 Pro. The battery capacity also sees a sizeable jump from a 5,400mAh cell to a 5,800mAh battery, even though it’s less than 6,500mAh on the China variant. While there’s no 50W wireless charging like last time, the wired charging is now 120W compared to 100W on the predecessor.

The 50MP LYT-808 camera on the GT 5 Pro is replaced with a 50MP IMX906 sensor. The periscope lens is now a 50MP IMX882 periscope sensor compared to 50MP IMX890.
