Realme 15 series to launch instead of Realme 14 series: report | Tech Tips
Realme 13 Pro and Realme 13 Pro+ smartphones launched in India recently. The Realme 13 5G India launch has also been confirmed. This is Realme’s popular number series and the next lineup would be the Realme 14 series. However, a report by 91mobiles Hindi says that Realme will skip the 14 series and jump straight to 15.
Realme 14 series will reportedly be skipped
- The Realme 13 series will be succeeded by the Realme 14 series but the brand plans to skip this number, according to a report by 91mobiles Hindi. The reason behind this is that the number ’14’ is considered ominous in China.
- The report adds that this information was shared by a Realme executive who has been with the company for years.
- The Realme 15 series will also feature a different camera design. The current lineup has a circular camera design but this might change with the Realme 15 lineup. The brand reportedly wants to change the entire design with the new series.
The Realme 13 Pro and Pro+ launched a few weeks back so we still have time before the successor lineup debuts. The Realme 12 Pro series launched in January this year so we might see the Realme 15 series towards the end of the year or early next year. Other than the details leaked, there’s no information on the Realme 15 series.
The Realme 13 Pro series features two phones including the Realme 13 Pro+. The new Realme phones come with 120Hz displays, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, a 32MP front camera, and a 5,200mAh battery. The Realme 13 Pro has a starting price of Rs 26,999 for the base model, while the Realme 13 Pro+ starts at Rs 32,999 in India.
The Realme 13 Pro series comes with upgrades such as a bigger 5,200mAh battery and faster 80W charging support. Realme also upgraded the camera sensors on both phones and added AI features as well.
