The Indian laptop company Primebook is gearing up to launch the Primebook Gen 2 in India. 91mobiles has secured the launch timeline, price range, design and other details about the upcoming laptop. We have also gathered some details about the company’s cloud-computing solution which will come as an app in the laptop. First, let’s run down the laptop details.
Primebook Gen 2 India launch timeline, price
Primebook Gen 2 will launch in India in January 2025. It will be priced below Rs 20,000. Other currently available Primebook laptops are priced below Rs 14,000. So, you can expect some upgrades for this premium. Here’s what we have heard:
Primebook Gen 2 design and other details
- Models: Primebook Gen 2 will arrive in four variants, viz., an 11.6-inch yoga, an 11.6-inch clamshell, a 14-inch yoga and a 14-inch clamshell. Primebook’s previous models are all in 11.6″ size. The Yoga moniker could mean that the laptop’s hinge allows the user to prop up the laptop in multiple form factors.
- Screen size: A 14-inch display means more screen real estate. Our source tells us the bezels would be slimmer which could mean more screen space even in the 11.6-inch models.
- Build: The Gen 2 will have a metallic construction which should give its buyers a premium and reassuring feel.
- Software: As you may know already, the underlying OS is Primebook’s key differentiator. This time, the Gen 2 will boot Android 14. At the time of launch, we should be learning if it gets Android 15 and the broader update scenario.
- Always connected: Another big sell could be its support for 4G SIMs which means LTE connectivity, making it a truly mobile device.

Primebook Cloud Computing Solution
- Meaning: Cloud computing means users will be able to access their files and apps (including games) over the internet. They need not have them saved or installed on the device, taking up precious storage space. Primebook service could require more than 15mbps speed and above 100mbps for gaming.
- Availability: It will be released in November 2024. Primebook users could get it as an app.
- Pricing: The actual price is yet to be revealed. However, the Primebook cloud service could be available to its users for 15 day trial period and then, the subscription price will kick in.
