Should you buy the Realme 13 Pro series?
The simple answer to the question of whether you should buy the Realme 13 Pro and Realme 13 Pro+: you should if cameras are your primary requirement. For performance, there are better alternatives within the sub-Rs 30,000 price segment.
Going into details, we get the price-demanding features on the Realme 13 Pro series like an OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, Android 14 OS out of the box and 2 promised OS upgrades, a larger 5,200mAh capacity battery and a versatile camera setup with a periscope sensor on the Pro+ version. The cameras on the Pro+ are quite good and there is AI support to enhance the image quality further, going by our review.
What puts the Realme 13 Pros series away is the performance section. While the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset is powerful enough for a regular user to handle day-to-day tasks like email, web browsing, photo clicking, and others, it is not as powerful as the SoC that powers the competition.
We get the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip on the POCO F6 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 on the OnePlus Nord 4 and Realme GT 6T, which are more powerful and come at the same cost as the Realme 13 Pro models.
