OnePlus is believed to be working on a new smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 3. Recently, it was tipped the wearable would be debuting alongside the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R flagships in global markets. Ahead of the announcement, the possible Watch 3 has been spotted on the FCC certification, revealing some key connectivity and hardware details.

Possible OnePlus Watch 3 specifications on FCC

• As spotted by 91mobiles Indonesia, the FCC listing shows the model number OPWWE251 and is categorised under ‘Watch’, suggesting that it is the OnePlus Watch 3.
• The listing confirms the dimensions: 46.6 X 47.6 X 11.75 mm. For context, the OnePlus Watch 2 measures 47 X 46.6 X 12.1mm and bears a 46mm size and a 1.43-inch display.

OnePlus Watch FCC

• The FCC image confirms the OnePlus Watch 3 will pack 631mAh rated battery/648mAh typical battery. In comparison, the Watch 2 featured a 500mAh cell.
• Connectivity options that are listed include Bluetooth (BR+EDR+BLE), GNSS, NFC, and 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi.
• Under the EUT (equipment under testing) section, we see this is a production unit and not an identical prototype. This is an indication that the OnePlus Watch 3 is ready to launch soon.

The OnePlus OPWWE234, which appeared on BIS and TUV Rheinland certifications, was also believed to be the OnePlus Watch 3. However, the latter revealed the watch will have a 500mAh battery. Rumours claim the new smartwatch from OnePlus could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear W5 SoC, similar to the predecessor. 

To recall, the OnePlus Watch 2 shipped with an AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1000nits, Military-grade durability, 5ATM + IP68 water and dust resistance, Snapdragon W5 + BES 2700 dual processors and can track over 100 sports modes. The OnePlus Watch 2 launched at Rs 24,999 in India. There are chances the successor, which will most definitely make it to the country, might also be placed in a similar price range.

Considering the OnePlus 13 is confirmed to debut globally in January, the OnePlus Watch 3 should also break covers alongside.
