Possible Motorola Razr 60 Ultra certified in India, could launch in coming months | Tech Tips
Motorola registered its highest growth in the Indian smartphone market last year after a boost in sales. The smartphone maker is known for its G, Edge and Razr series of devices. The Razr series is a lineup of flip foldable phones that directly go against Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip devices. It seems like the successor to the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra could arrive sooner than expected.
Motorola Razr 60 Ultra spotted on India’s BIS certification
A Motorola device with code XT2551 has received certification on India’s BIS portal. Based on an earlier report, we expect this device to be the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra. The smartphone is supposedly codenamed Orion, and the model number also indicates that it is the successor to the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra (XT2451).
The certification also indicates that the smartphone could launch earlier than expected. To recall, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra received BIS certification in April 2024 and officially launched in India in July 2024. While this is just speculation, we could see the launch of the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra in the second quarter of 2025.
We have not seen any leaks on the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra yet, which keeps the phone’s design and specifications a mystery. Rumours about the introduction of the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset in April of this year could align with the launch of this device.
