POCO M7 Pro clears IMDA certification, launch could be imminent | Tech Tips
POCO will soon expand its M-series with a new model, dubbed the POCO M7 Pro. This will come as a successor to the most popular POCO M6 Pro. After appearing on the FCC certification earlier this month, the handset has now been spotted on Singapore’s IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority) certification website and this reveals some key details of the phone.
POCO M7 Pro bags IMDA
- The IMDA certification, as spotted by MySmartPrice, confirms the model number 2409FPCC4G.
- The phone will be equipped with 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC support. The brand mentioned in the listing is “POCO.”
- Not much else is revealed about the POCO M7 Pro on the IMDA platform but the recent FCC listing gives some more details.
POCO M7 Pro: what we know so far
The POCO M7 Pro FCC listing also confirms the same model number 2409FPCC4G. The listing suggests the phone will boot HyperOS 1.0 custom skin and there will be NFC support. The base variant of the phone could house 128GB of storage. There could be other options at launch, probably a 256GB version.
The FCC document also includes the live images of the phone, which shows there will be a large square camera module on the back to house dual camera sensors, POCO branding and an LED flash. The image suggests the phone will have a green colour option and might have a dual-tone design. There could be a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper and flat edges. The volume rocker and power button will be on the right spine.
The FCC document suggests the POCO M7 Pro could be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 14 5G. The main difference between the two could be in cameras. The Redmi model is believed to arrive with triple cameras, while the POCO offering could only get dual-camera sensors.
