OPPO unveiled the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro in the global markets last month. Multiple reports suggest that the brand is working on more models in the lineup. Now, OPPO’s Product Manager Zhou Yibao on Weibo has revealed that the company will conduct two launch events annually for its flagship Find series devices.

OPPO confirms launch strategy for Find-series

  • Yibao states that OPPO’s Find series devices will launch twice a year
  • One event will take place in spring whereas the other will happen in autumn.
  • In China, the spring season spans from March to May whereas the autumn season is from September to November.
  • The Find X8 series debuted in the home market in October, so, its successor i.e. the Find X9 lineup could also arrive at the same time next year.
  • The executive did not explicitly reveal the names of the Find series devices.
  • However, he did confirm that the foldable Find N5 will be the first to launch ahead of the Find X8 Ultra.

  • To recall, the Find N3 released in October last year. Its successor was expected this year but a recent report suggests that the upcoming foldable may arrive in the first quarter of 2025.
  • The device may first launch in China and then make its way to global markets including India as a rebadged OnePlus Open 2.
  • Meanwhile, the Find X8 Ultra, X8 Mini, and X8s are expected to launch in April or May next year.

Both the OPPO Find N5 and OPPO Find X8 Ultra will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The former is rumoured to come with an IPX8 rating, wireless charging, a 50MP periscope camera, and a 5,700mAh battery unit. Meanwhile, as per leaks the Find X8 Ultra is said to feature a 5,500mAh battery cell, a spectral red maple primary colour camera, and two 50MP periscope telephoto units with 3x and 6x zoom respectively.

To recall, the OnePlus Open (aka OPPO Find N3) was announced at a price tag of Rs 1,39,999 in 2023 in India whereas the OPPO Find X8 Ultra’s predecessor, the OPPO Find X7 Ultra, remained China-exclusive starting at CNY 5,999 (~Rs 70,223). It remains to be seen whether the X8 Ultra variant would make it to Indian and global markets this time, considering the X8 series did break tradition and stepped outside Chinese shores.
