OPPO Reno 13 5G receives multiple certifications including BIS, India launch imminent | Tech Tips

OPPO Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro debuted in China last month. These arrive as successors to the Reno 12 lineup and bring some notable improvements. 91mobiles exclusively revealed the phones will be debuting in India in January 2025. In line with that, the standard OPPO Reno 13 has now bagged multiple certifications, including India’s BIS.

The OPPO Reno series is the brand’s premium mid-range lineup with a focus on cameras and unique designs. The OPPO Reno 12 series launched in India at a starting price of Rs 32,999. 

OPPO Reno 13 5G could be heading global soon

• As spotted by MySmartPrice, the OPPO Reno 13 5G bagged the BIS, NBTC, NCC, and FCC certifications.

BIS

• The BIS certification shows the model number CPH2689 and this suggests the launch in India could happen soon.

NCC

• The NCC platform includes live images of the phone, charger (VCB8OAUH SuperVOOC adaptor) and battery (BLPB49). We see the phone in purple and white colour options.
• The battery image shows a 5,450mAh rated/ 5,600mAh typical capacity like the Chinese model and 80W fast charging.

• The design hasn’t changed, with a punch-hole cutout on the front for the selfie snapper. The volume rocker and power button are on the right.
• There is a square camera module on the back to house the main camera sensors and an LED flash. We also see OPPO branding.

NBTC

• The OPPO Reno 13 also appeared on Thailand’s NBTC platform with the same model number CPH2689 and this also confirms the marketing name.
• Additionally, the Reno 13 Pro is also spotted with the model number CPH2697.

FCC

• The FCC listing confirms the Reno 13 will boot ColorOS 15, which could be based on Android 15.

• Connectivity options as per the listing include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, and NFC. No other details of the phone are revealed through the FCC.

The OPPO Reno 13 Pro recently bagged the BIS and TDRA certifications, hinting that the global launch could be imminent. The phones will make their way to India as well but we are yet to know the exact date.
