OPPO Find X8 series tops AI Benchmark, Find X8 Pro to feature industry-first dual periscope telephoto setup | Tech Tips

The OPPO Find X8 series is set to launch in China on October 24th and will use the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, which was earlier seen on the Vivo X200 series. After confirming features like 120W fast charging, a new quick button, satellite connectivity, and more, the company has now revealed the camera details. OPPO’s Zhou Yibao confirmed the OPPO Find X8 Pro will feature an industry-first dual periscope telephoto setup.

Separately, the OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro have appeared on the AI benchmark, as spotted by 91mobiles. Both phones have topped the benchmark, leaving behind the Vivo X200 Pro series, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, iPhone 15 Pro and other top-end flagships.

• The OPPO Find X8 Pro will feature a dual-periscope telephoto lens with AI support.
• The dual telephoto setup includes one lens to capture distant landscape images and another aimed at portrait shots.

• The top executive claims the telescope capabilities have been largely improved when shooting from a distance.
• The resulting images are claimed to have more detail, producing a more natural output. 
• The executive has also shared image samples showcasing the significant improvements.

• Find X8 Pro is expected to feature a 50MP Sony LY-800 main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and telephoto cameras. 

OPPO Find X8 series tops AI Benchmark 

• The OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro have topped the AI benchmark application.
• For context, the AI benchmark is a technical test to see whether the smartphone is capable of running the latest ‘Deep Neural Networks’ to perform certain AI-based tasks like face recognition, image enhancement, image classification and more.

• In the AI Performance Ranking segment, the Find X8 Pro has scored 10,319, while the Find X8 has scored 10,225.
• The previous best was the Vivo X200 Pro with a score of 10,132. The phone is also powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC.
• The listing confirms the phones will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, 16GB RAM and boot Android 15 OS out of the box.
