OnePlus Watch 3 design revealed in leaked render, tipped to arrive with major upgrades | Tech Tips

The OnePlus Watch 3 has surfaced in a leaked render, revealing its design. The brand’s third generation smartwatch was recently spotted on FCC. Previously, it also appeared on the BIS and TUV Rheinland certification websites. The latest development coming from publication Smartprix cites two sources and also shares key details of the upcoming wearable device. The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to arrive as the successor to the Watch 2 that debuted earlier in February this year. 

OnePlus Watch 3 design details

• The report notes that the leaked render is based on the prototype of the OnePlus Watch 3. 
• It retains the same look as its predecessor with a circular dial and a protrusion on the right side. 
• One notable change is that the upcoming offering is said to come with a rotating dial, similar to the Digital Crown found on Apple Watches. 
• It will help in navigating the UI on the screen in addition to the touch screen. 
• The smartwatch will reportedly be available in two colour options. 
• The report adds that the OnePlus Watch 3 will be equipped with ECG sensor. This will enable monitoring of heart rate rhythm and detect atrial fibrillation. 
• It’s worth noting that the capability’s availability will depend on the market region. 
• The upcoming offering is also tipped to pack LTE connectivity which was missing on its predecessor. This will enable users to answer and make calls directly through the smartwatch. 
• On the hardware front, the OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to come with Snapdragon W5 Gen 1, 2GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage, and an RTOS+WearOS. These are the same as the OnePlus Watch 2. 
• The wearable device will reportedly be powered by a 500mAh battery but the FCC listing hints at 648mAh cell. 

Lastly, as per the publication, the OnePlus Watch 3 will debut globally in the first quarter of 2025. The OnePlus 13 series is going official on January 7th. It remains to be seen if the brand announces its upcoming smartwatch at the same event. To recall, the OnePlus Watch 2 launched a month after the OnePlus 12’s global unveiling in January. It carried a starting price tag of Rs 24,999.
