OnePlus Open, the brand’s first foldable phone, is receiving the OxygenOS 15 stable release. This update is already rolling out in batches in India and the company plans to roll out in North American, European, and GLO markets in the coming weeks. OnePlus Open gets OxygenOS 15
The OnePlus Open OxygenOS 15 update brings the firmware CPH2551_15.0.0.200 (EX01) and is based on Android 15. OnePlus Open users can check for the update by heading to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.
OxygenOS 15: what’s new?
Animations
- The update introduces the parallel processing architecture, which offers parallel response and unified rendering to elevate multi-app switching.
- Widgets, components, folders, and more offer smooth animations even when frequently interrupted.
- This also adds system-level swiping curve coverage for 3rd party apps, including WebView interfaces.
AI
- AI Retouch enhances the clarity of cropped, distant, and low-quality photos. There is also an AI Reflection Eraser for clearer photos.
- The new AI writing suite helps in writing and enhancing content.
- There is also a Format feature to organise scattered information into well-organised content to make it more appealing and easier to read.
- We get a new Clean-up feature to remove filler words from voice notes to make sentences more coherent while retaining the original audio
Live Alerts
- The update adds Live Alerts design, which is positioned in the centre and is focused on the visualisation of information by offering better information display efficiency.
- You can tap a capsule to expand into a card and switch between multiple live activities simply by swiping left or right on the capsule in the status bar.
Photos
- The duration of the live photo is expanded up to 3 seconds.
- The update brings a globally reversible photo editing capability that remembers the settings for your previous edition so they can be applied to the next edits.
- It also improves integration between the Camera and filters, so filters are applied to photos when taken and can be edited, changed, and removed later in Photos.
Floating Window
- The update introduces new Floating Window gestures: pulling down a notification banner to bring up a floating window, pulling down a floating window for full-screen display, swiping up to close a floating window, and swiping to a side to hide a floating window.
- There are new resizeable Split View Widows, which can be accessed by simply dragging the divider to resize the widow not fully displayed for a larger display area.
- The update adds Split mode for the notification drawer and Quick Settings.

- OxygenOS 15 adds the ability to transfer files with iOS devices.
- Introduces a battery protection reminder to turn on the Charging limit when the device is connected to a charger for too long.
- There is a new Home Screen clock widget that can be resized.
