OnePlus 13 launch date is yet to be revealed but the phone is expected to launch soon, presumably shortly after the Qualcomm Snapdragon Annual summit event, which is scheduled for October 21st. The flagship will come with the new BOE X2 display and is set to bring numerous improvements/upgrades. Now, the company has revealed more details about the OnePlus 13 screen.

OnePlus 13 will be the brand’s flagship offering that will be powered by the premium Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series chipset, which is believed to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. The handset will come as a successor to the OnePlus 12.

OnePlus 13 local high refresh rate confirmed

• The OnePlus 13 screen is confirmed to support local high refresh rate feature, which means the same screen can run at different refresh rates.
• This is a major upgrade over current smartphones screens. While phones can run at a variety of refresh rates, this applies to the entire screen.

• The ability of the screen to run at a higher refresh rate only in the required areas will help consume battery.
• This is particularly useful/handy when you are running two apps in split view. While one app uses lower refresh rate, the other offers higher screen refresh rate.
• Besides local high refresh rate, the OnePlus 13 will offer ‘Sun Display’, which means the outdoor visibility and colour reproduction under sunlight will be strong.
• The outdoor touch experience in areas like snow or wind will be industry leading, as per the company.
• The OnePlus 13 has already received DisplayMate A++ rating, which makes it the world’s first to do so.

OnePlus 13: what we know so far

• Display: The OnePlus 13 is expected to come with a 6.82-inch 2K BOE 10-bit LTPO micro-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout.
• Processor: The phone could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with Adreno GPU.
• Memory: Up to 24GB RAM and 512GB storage option.
• Cameras: The OnePlus 13 could feature a 50MP Sony LYT808 main sensor, a 50MP LYT600 periscope sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera. In comparison, the OnePlus 12 has a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP periscope telephoto lens.
• Battery: The phone might pack a 6000mAh+ battery with 100W fast charging support. There will be magnetic wireless charging support, .
• In comparison, the OnePlus 12 houses a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
• OS: The OnePlus 13 boots Android 15-based OxygenOS custom skin out of the box.
• Others: The phone houses an IP68/69 rating for water and dust resistance, ultra-sonic-fingerprint sensor, and an alert slider.

OnePlus 13 price is tipped to be CNY 5,200 (around Rs 61,500) for the 16GB + 512GB variant or CNY 5,299 (Rs 62,600 approx) in China. For context, the OnePlus 12 costed CNY 4,799 (around Rs 56,700).
