OnePlus 13 confirmed to feature Snapdragon 8 Elite, appears on GCF | Tech Tips
OnePlus 13 is confirmed to launch in China on October 31st and the company already revealed the design and colour options through official renders. Shortly after the announcement of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset at the chipmaker’s annual summit, OnePlus confirmed the OnePlus 13 flagship will be one of the first to use the latest SoC. The company also revealed the phone’s RAM and storage option in a teaser image.
Separately, 91mobiles exclusively spotted a OnePlus phone on the Global Certification Forum. This reveals two model numbers: CPH2653 and CPH2655. We are familiar with the former model as we have earlier spotted it on Geekbench and IMDA. This could be a regional variant of the OnePlus 13.
OnePlus 13 confirmed to feature Snapdragon 8 Elite
- OnePlus 13 is confirmed to be one of the first to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which was just announced.
- The teaser image shared by the brand confirms the phone will have 24GB LPDDR5x RAM + 1TB UFS 4.0 storage option.
- In a Weibo post, OnePlus China president, Louis Lee announced that the company will be holding a OnePlus 13 performance event on October 23rd i.e. tomorrow. He says the event will show the first performance data of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
- In the Weibo post, the top executive opines the new Snapdragon 8 Elite brings a leap forward in terms of performance and energy efficiency and predicts the chip will become a milestone.
- Besides performance, the gaming experience on the OnePlus 13 will also be superior and a major improvement over the OnePlus 12, which has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
- OnePlus 13 will also be equipped with self-developed performance technology and this is claimed to unlock an exclusive gaming experience, and “the performance is beyond imagination.”
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is built on TSMC’s 3nm process and features
the Oryon CPU architecture. The SoC has a prime core clocked at 4.32GHz and performance cores at 3.53 GHz. The new chipset is claimed to offer a 44 percent boost in CPU performance, 27 percent overall power savings, and 44 percent improved power efficiency.

Possible OnePlus 13 appears on GCF
OnePlus CPH2653 and CPH2655 were spotted on the Global Certification Forum (GCF). While the marketing name of the phone is not revealed, the manufacturer mentioned is OnePlus Technology. The CPH2653 phone in question might be the OnePlus 13 considering it was earlier spotted on Geekbench with flagship-grade benchmark scores but can’t be said for certain. This variant was also spotted on the IMDA platform.
Meanwhile, the identity of the OnePlus CPH2655 remains a mystery but it might be another RAM/storage option of the CPH2653 (believed to be the OnePlus 13). The listing confirms the phone will have 5G/4G LTE connectivity options.
