NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 series GPUs launched at CES 2025: check India price, features | Tech Tips
NVIDIA has announced its next-generation graphics cards for desktops and laptops. The new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 series GPUs come in four SKUs: RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070. The new series brings major improvements over its predecessors, so let’s see what they bring to the table:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 series GPUs: India price, availability
For desktop users, the GeForce RTX 5090 GPU and the GeForce RTX 5080 GPU will be available starting on January 30th, for Rs 2,14,000 and Rs 1,07,000, respectively. The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU and the GeForce RTX 5070 GPU will be available starting in February for Rs 80,000 and Rs 59,000, respectively.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 series GPUs: features
- The latest NVIDIA GPUs are powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, fifth-generation Tensor cores, and fourth-generation RT (Ray Tracing) cores. The brand claims that the Blackwell architecture’s innovations and DLSS 4 improve the GeForce RTX 5090 GPU’s performance by up to 2X compared to the GeForce RTX 4090.
- DLSS 4 uses AI to boost frame rates by generating up to three frames per rendered frame, enhancing performance up to 8X with DLSS technologies while maintaining responsiveness through NVIDIA Reflex. NVIDIA Reflex 2’s Frame Warp reduces latency by up to 75 percent by updating frames with the latest mouse input, ensuring a smoother, more responsive gaming experience.
- NVIDIA has also launched RTX Neural Shaders with the GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. Rendering realistic characters is a challenge, and RTX Neural Faces uses generative AI to transform simple face and pose data into high-quality, stable digital faces in real time.
- This is enhanced by new RTX technologies for ray-traced hair and skin. The RTX Mega Geometry also supports up to 100x more ray-traced triangles, significantly boosting realism in game characters and environments.
- GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs bring advanced AI to power autonomous game characters alongside rendering. NVIDIA’s ACE technologies enable characters to perceive, plan, and act like humans. Coming to PUBG, InZOI, and MIR5, these AI-driven characters enhance gameplay with adaptive strategies and dynamic behaviors.
- NVIDIA has announced foundation models running locally on RTX AI PCs. With up to 3,352 trillion AI operations per second and 32GB of VRAM, these GPUs support FP4 compute for 2X faster AI inference and smaller memory usage.
- NIM microservices, optimised for all NVIDIA GPUs, enable a range of AI use cases, including LLMs, image generation, speech, and computer vision. Nvidia will also release NIM microservices and AI Blueprints from top developers like Black Forest Labs, Meta, Mistral, and Stability AI.
- GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs boost creative workflows with FP4 precision, doubling AI image generation performance and using less memory. They also feature advanced video editing with 4:2:2 colour support and up to 32GB of VRAM for large 3D projects.
- NVIDIA Broadcast adds AI features for livestreamers, including Studio Voice for improved audio and Virtual Key light for better lighting. Streamlabs’ Intelligent Streaming Assistant, powered by NVIDIA ACE and Inworld AI, enhances livestreams with cohosting and technical support.
