Nothing’s new product confirmed to debut in April 2025; could be Phone (3a) or CMF Phone 2 | Tech Tips

Nothing is rumoured to be working on three new phones, believed to be the Nothing Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Plus and CMF Phone 2. These were recently spotted on the IMEI database and are expected to launch sometime in 2025. Amidst this, Nothing has silently dropped a new video on its YouTube channel and this sheds light on the launch timeline of its next product.

New Nothing product launching soon

• The YouTube video is a conversation between Heru, Nothing’s content team and Lucy Birley, CMF designer. 
• When asked about the next product’s launch timeline, Lucy Birley confirms that Nothing’s next product will debut in April 2025.
• The next product could be available in a new Blue shade, going by the subtle hints throughout the video.
• In the video, Lucy talks about the secret project, which includes multiple products in the pipeline that are currently under wraps. 
• The executives also talk about Nothing Phone’s design policy and how many hours it takes to finalise a design and that one perfect colour.

The three Nothing products that appeared on the IMEI database bear the model numbers A059, A059P, and A001 and these are believed to be Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Plus, and CMF Phone 2, respectively. The phones are said to have the codenames: ‘asteroids’, ‘asteroids Plus’ and ‘galaga’.

The Nothing A059 was earlier spotted on Geekbench and was initially believed to be the flagship Nothing Phone (3). Nonetheless, the listing showed the Phone (3a) has managed to score 1,149 on the single-core and 2,813 on the multi-core performance test. The phone is expected to pack 8GB RAM and boot Android 15 OS out of the box.

The chipset powering the Nothing Phone (3a) could be the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, which could also be the same SoC on the alleged CMF Phone 2. In comparison, the Phone (2a) shipped with Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC. Reports claim the Nothing Phone (3a) can record 4K videos at 60fps and slow-motion videos up to 480fps at 1080p.
