We haven’t got any flagship phone launch from Nothing after the Phone (2) launch in July 2023. But, Nothing has big plans for 2025 as revealed in a leaked internal email from the company CEO Carl Pei. This reportedly includes the launch of the Nothing Phone (3) and an unnamed smartphone described as a “landmark” release. Let’s check out Carl’s mail below:

Nothing email leak reveals Phone (3) launch and more

Renowned leaker Evan Blass has shared an alleged internal email sent by Carl Pei to Nothing employees. The email titled “2025: Nothing’s Year of Innovation” confirms the launch of Nothing Phone (3). 

The email notes that the flagship phone (3) will introduce “breakthrough innovations in the user interface” as the first step toward the brand’s AI-powered platform.

Nothing wants AI in its products to help users achieve their greatest creative potential.

Besides the Phone (3) and AI ambitions, the email also underlines “a landmark smartphone launch (in Q1) that the world will be very excited to see“. The wording makes it appear as a different product from the Phone (3). This could be either one of the brand’s affordable smartphones, a CMF product, or their launch in a new market like the US.

Here are the rumoured Nothing phones in the pipelines:

Nothing Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Plus, CMF Phone 2

A Nothing phone with model number NT04 has appeared on the BIS listing suggesting its imminent launch in India. The same phone has been spotted on UL Demko revealing its battery size to be 4290mAh. In comparison, the Phone (2a) and (2a) Plus has a 5,000mAh cell.

The Phone (3) is rumoured to have a telephoto camera, while the Plus variant could get a periscope telephoto camera.

Both phones are expected to ship with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, eSIM support, and cost below the Rs 30,000 price ceiling. The predecessors came in around the same price range. So, let’s see.
