A new report spells bad news for those expecting a new iPad or Mac launch at today’s Apple event. Well, not entirely bad news since the bigger-screen Apple products could launch at a separate event later. The rumoured products include iPads, iMacs, MacBooks, and a revamped Mac Mini. Here are the full details:
As per Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple could schedule an October event to launch M4-powered Mac mini, iMac, MacBook Pro, and iPads.

- Per Apple Hub, the Cupertino brand could launch a new iPad Mini (7th gen) with a similar design to its predecessor. Even the Touch ID may not be replaced with Face ID.

- Its front could be 8.3 inches in size and be of Liquid Retina LCD type. We may not get an OLED iPad mini until 2025 or 2026.
- Under the hood, the 7th-generation iPad mini could ship with a newer Apple A17 or Apple A18 chipset. A newer chip and perhaps a RAM upgrade could be needed for Apple Intelligence.
- Even the storage could see a bump.
- The upcoming iPad Mini could also support the Apple Pencil Pro with a double tap or Squeeze option to access tools, improved control of shaped pen and brush, and haptic feedback. This stylus also supports Apple’s Find My feature so you can easily locate it when it’s lost or misplaced.
- The connectivity options could include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.
- All these and the iPad Mini 7 could launch at a starting price of $499 (about Rs 41,872.59).
Upcoming Mac Mini: what to expect
As for the Mac Mini, it could feature M4 SoC coupled with 16GB RAM in the base model.
The mini is said to have a smaller footprint like the Apple TV. A compact design could mean it sheds the USB-A port and perhaps gets more USB-C sockets.
Rest, there could be an M4-engined iMac (with 8GB RAM) and MacBook Pros.
