New Motorola Razr 50D foldable launch date revealed | Tech Tips
NTT DOCOMO, a noted Japanese mobile operator has announced the launch date of a new Motorola foldable, the Motorola Razr 50D. This looks similar to the regular Razr 50 phone that was launched in India back in September. The foldable has a clamshell design, with a large outer display and an IPX8 rating for water resistance.

The Motorola Razr 50D will launch in Japan on December 19th i.e. next week. The microsite on the NTT DOCOMO website is live, showing the phone in a beige colour. The price of the foldable mentioned is 114,950 Japanese Yen (approx Rs 64,000).
However, ‘Anytime Kaedoki Program’, if you pay monthly instalments of 2587 Japanese Yen (approx Rs 1,500) for 23 months and return the phone in proper working condition, the price will be 59,501 Japanese Yen (around Rs 33,000). If you wish to keep the phone, the balance of 55,440 Japanese Yen (around Rs 31,000) residual value is extended in further instalments.
Interested customers can pre-order the phone from December 13th i.e. today, with pre-purchase starting on December 17th. The company will also release two new cases (one with a vegan leather finish and neck strap and the other is a hard case made of Tritan) along with the foldable.

Motorola Razr 50D specifications
NTT DOCOMO website has complete specifications of the new Motorola Razr 50D.
- Display: The Motorola Razr 50D will sport a 6.9-inch FHD+ pOLED inner display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. There’s also a 3.6-inch large outer screen.
- Battery: The phone packs a 4000mAh battery. In comparison, the model sold in India has a 4,200mAh cell.
- Cameras: The new Motorola foldable features a 50MP main camera and a 13MP secondary lens. There is a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies.
- Memory: The phone will be sold in a single 8GB + 256GB storage model.
- Others: Wireless charging, IPX8 water resistance rating, Hi-Res audio, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Style sync AI function that automatically generates wallpapers from the photos taken. The handset measures 171 X 74 X 7.3 and weighs 187 grams.
