Motorola Edge 50 Neo price in India, release date, and full specifications were revealed in India on Monday. This is the fifth phone in the Edge 50 series to launch in India following the Motorola Edge 50, Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Ultra, and Edge 50 Fusion. The Motorola Edge 50 Neo will get five years of major Android OS upgrades making it the longest software update policy in this price segment.

• The Motorola Edge 50 Neo is priced at Rs 23,999 and it comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
• Bank offers include 10 percent discount up to Rs 1,000 on HDFC Bank credit cards.
• The smartphone comes in four Pantone-certified colours: Nautical Blue, Latte, Grisaille, and Poinciana with a vegan leather finish. 
• A special sale for the Motorola Edge 50 Neo will take place on Monday, September 16th at 7 pm via Flipkart.

• Display: Motorola Edge 50 Neo features a 6.4-inch 1.5K (2670 x 1220 pixels) pOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
• Processor: The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
• Cameras: This handset has a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C primary camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a 13MP ultra-wide/macro camera, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom at the back. For selfies, you get a 32MP front camera on the Motorola Edge 50 Neo. 
• Battery, charging: The new Motorola phone packs a 4,310mAh battery with 68W wired fast and 15W wireless charging. Interestingly, the battery capacity on the Edge 50 Neo has been reduced from 5,000mAh but Motorola has added wireless charging capability.  
• Software: On the software front, the Edge 50 Neo runs Android 14 with Hello UI out of the box. You get five years of OS and security updates.
• Durability: With the Motorola Edge 50 Neo, you get an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, and an MIL-STD 810H certification for accidental drops, and extreme weather conditions.
• Other features: The Edge 50 Neo has dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, NFC, USB Type-C port, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Motorola Edge 50 Neo: what’s new?

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo succeeded last year’s Edge 40 Neo with some notable upgrades. Starting with the design, Motorola has opted for a flat display and edges as opposed to the curved design of the Edge 40 Neo. You also get an additional camera with the Edge 50 Neo, which is a 10MP telephoto lens.

Motorola has also upgraded the max brightness to 3,000 nits from 1,300. One highlight of the new Motorola phone is the generous software update policy. The Motorola Edge 50 Neo comes with Android 14 out of the box and will get five more OS upgrades up to Android 19. You also get five years of security updates.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo also comes with AI Style Sync for customised wallpapers and AI Magic Canvas to create images based on text prompts.
