Motorola is reportedly working on the Moto G Stylus (2025). The successor to the Moto G Stylus (2024) is expected to launch in the coming months. The device has now been spotted on multiple certification websites. These include FCC, IMEI, and UL Solutions (Demko). Each listing reveals key details of the upcoming offering. Previously, the Motorola smartphone codenamed ‘Houston’ with the same model number had bagged BIS certification.

Moto G Stylus (2025) key details emerge

• The Moto G Stylus (2025) is listed on the FCC certification (via) with model numbers – XT2517-1, XT2517-2, XT2517-3, and XT2517V. 
• This suggests that the device could be launched in multiple markets. The XT25 prefix indicates that it will be released this year. 
• As per the listing, the smartphone will measure 146.2mm x 71.8mm x 7.5mm in terms of dimensions. It will be thinner than its predecessor that has a thickness of 8.3mm. 
• The FCC certification also reveals that the upcoming offering will come with support for WiFi-6E, 5G NR bands, LTE, GSM, and WCDMA. 
• The IMEI listing mentions codename Houston but not any additional details.

• As per the UL Solutions (Demko) document, the Moto G Stylus (2025) will be backed by a rated battery capacity of 4,850mAh. It is expected to be advertised as 5,000mAh. 
• The same certification also reveals the list of supported accessories such as USB cable and stylus. 
• The presence of compatible stylus strengthens the speculation that the smartphone is indeed the Moto G Stylus (2025). 

The Moto G Stylus (2025) that was spotted on BIS has model number XT2517-4. However, it’s worth noting that the Lenovo-owned brand has never launched its G Stylus series in India. Hence, it remains unclear if the company will bring its upcoming offering to the country. The predecessor model – Moto G Stylus (2024) launched in May last year at a price tag of $399 (~Rs 34,534).
