Lava has launched a new budget smartphone aimed at entry-segment consumers and first-time users. It follows the Lava Yuva 3 announced earlier in February this year. The latest offering retains most of the specifications and the design apart from minor differences. Let’s find out what the smartphone offers out of the box. 

Lava Yuva 4 price and availability in India

• The Lava Yuva 4 carries an introductory price tag of Rs 6,999 for the 4GB + 64GB base model. 
• The pricing of the 4GB + 128GB variant has not been revealed. 
• The device is offered in Glossy White, Glossy Purple, and Glossy Black colours. 
• It can be purchased from the company’s retail outlets starting this month. 
• Lava is providing a one-year warranty and free service at home with the purchase of the smartphone. 

Lava Yuva 4 specifications

• Display: The Lava Yuva 4 has a 6.5-inch display bearing an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. 
• Processor: It is equipped with a Unisoc T-606 processor along with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. 
• Camera: The smartphone features a 50MP primary rear camera. There is an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper. 
• Battery: The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 10W charging. 
• OS and others: The Lava Yuva 4 runs on Android 14 OS. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, microSD card slot, USB-C port, 3.5mm jack, and 4G VoLTE.

Lava Yuva 4: what’s new?

The Lava Yuva 4 retains the same display, processor, RAM, and storage capacity as its predecessor. In terms of design, the latest offering has a protruding square camera island and glossy pattern on the back panel compared to the Yuva 3. Additionally, both the front and rear cameras are upgraded from the 5MP and 13MP found on the previous model.

The Lava Yuva 4’s battery capacity remains the same but the charging speed is now downgraded to 10W from 18W. Software-wise, the Yuva 4 also ships with Android 14 and is guaranteed to get Android 15 update. Meanwhile, the Yuva 3 running on Android 13 is said to be eligible for Android 14.
