JioBrain, Jio AI Cloud Welcome Offer | Tech Tips



Reliance broadcasted its 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM 2024) live through an online video. The company has made a lot of new tech announcements at this event such as JioBrain, JioTV OS, and JioTV+. The JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar merger was also officially disclosed. Here’s all you need to know about the Reliance AGM 2024 announcements.


JioBrain

JioBrain (perhaps a play on Google Brain) is a comprehensive suite of AI tools and platforms. This would include generative AI solutions too. However, Reliance hasn’t disclosed the AI model or training involved in developing JioBrain.

The company said, “We are embedding AI into all our processes and offerings, creating end-to-end workflows with real-time, data-driven insights and automation”.

Jio AI Cloud Welcome Offer

Jio users will receive up to 100GB of free cloud storage to “securely store and access” all your different media (image, video) and document types.


If you want more storage, Ambani said, you can get further storage upgrades at “affordable rates”.

The Jio AI Cloud Welcome Offer will be available starting Diwali 2024.

As a side note, Reliance revealed it has 350+ patents in 5G and 6G technologies.

JioTV OS, JioTV+

JioTV OS is the new operating system (software platform) for JioTV Set Top Box with quick access to Jio apps and popular 3rd party OTT apps (like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video). 

It features 4K HDR content, voice control, and Matter support.

Meanwhile, JioTV+ is a live TV platform that lets you watch over 860 live TV channels in HD quality. Read more about JioTV OS and JioTV+ here.


Jio PhoneCall AI

Jio PhoneCall AI lets you artificial intelligence to record calls and record them on JioCloud. Its utility doesn’t end there. You can also transcribe voice calls into text; summarise this text and even translate it to another language.

Jio welcomes Disney

Reliance confirms its partnership with Disney. Mr Ambani says, “We are combining content creation with digital streaming…We are excited about this partnership. I warmly welcome Disney to the Reliance family.”

The Competition Commission of India has approved this Rs 70,350 crore merger “subject to the compliance of voluntary modifications”. Nita Ambani is said to be the chairperson of this new entity.
