The toned down processor of the Snapdragon 8 Elite is expected to be announced in the coming months. Last year, the chipmaker launched the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in March. Now, the technical details of the Snapdragon 8s Elite have emerged, thanks to the purported iQOO Z10 Turbo/Turbo Pro’s purported Geekbench listing.
Snapdragon 8s Elite configuration and performance details surface
- The purported iQOO Z10 Turbo/Turbo Pro is listed on Geekbench with model number V2453A.
- It reveals the unannounced Snapdragon 8s Elite chip with eight cores.
- The setup comprises of a prime core clocked at 3.21GHz, three cores at 3.01GHz, two cores ticking at 2.80GHz, and two cores at 2.02GHz.
- The 1+3+2+2 configuration is similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, the clock speeds in this are 3.3GHz, 3.2GHz, 3.0GHz, and 2.3GHz.
- Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3’s octa-core CPU has one 3.0GHz core, four 2.8GHz cores, and three cores running at 2.0GHz.
- This suggests that the Snapdragon 8s Elite could be slightly underpowered compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. But, it will pack performance gains compared to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
