The mid-premium iQOO Neo 10 series debuted in China back in November last year and included two models: the vanilla Neo 10 and Neo 10 Pro. While we wait for the phones to debut globally, the company is said to be working on a new variant in the series, dubbed iQOO Neo 10R and the memory options were recently leaked. The latest leak spills beans on the phone’s India launch timeline, price, and key specifications.
iQOO Neo 10R India launch
- iQOO Neo 10R could be the first R-series model in the Neo lineup and should sit slightly below the standard models. The phone is said to bear the model number: I2221.
- Tipster Paras Guglani claims the new iQOO phone will debut in India in February 2025, which is next month. However, the exact date is under wraps, at the moment.
iQOO Neo 10R price, specifications (tipped)
- Display: As per Guglani, the handset will sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. This is the same screen size as the regular iQOO Neo 10 and Neo 10 Pro.
- Chipset: The iQOO Neo 10R is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. For context, the Neo 10 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Neo 10R gets the Dimensity 9400.
- Memory: The phone may arrive in two configurations: 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB. The earlier leak also mentioned 8GB + 128GB.
- Cameras: The iQOO Neo phone could house a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera and an 8MP front camera. There could be a 16MP lens on the front for selfies.
- Battery: The phone is tipped to pack a 6,400mAh battery with 80W fast charging. This is bigger than the 6,100mAh cell on the Neo 10 models.
- Colours: Lastly, the tipster notes the handset will be available in Lunar Titanium and Blue White Slice colours.
As for the price, the iQOO Neo 10R is tipped to be priced under Rs 30,000 (possibly for the base model). At this rate, the phone will look to take on the new POCO X7 Pro, OnePlus Nord 4, and Motorola Edge 50 Pro in the segment. For comparison, the vanilla iQOO Neo 10 price in China started at CNY 2,399 (approx Rs 28,400).
Last year, the brand just introduced the iQOO Neo 9 Pro in India at Rs 35,999. It appears there seems to be a change in strategy this time with the Neo 10 lineup.
