• Going into details, the Phone SE 4 will launch in March 2025, as per the latest research note from Barclays analyst Tom O’Mailey (via MacRumors).
• The report notes analyst O’Mailey and his colleagues recently met with electronics makers and suppliers in Asia, who have confirmed that the 4th generation iPhone SE is coming towards the end of the first quarter.

• Furthermore, it is also said that the iPhone SE 4 will reportedly use an Apple-designed 5G modem, reiterating earlier reports.
• It is said that the iPhone SE 4 will use an Apple proprietary modem based on a TSMC node and has the codename- Centauri.
• It was earlier reported that LG Innotek will supply the iPhone SE 4 camera module.

iPhone SE 4: what we know so far

• Display: The upcoming iPhone SE 4 is tipped to sport a 6.06-inch LTPS OLED display with a 2,532 x 1,170 pixels resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 800 nits.
• For context, the iPhone SE 3 had an iPhone 7-like design with a TouchID sensor and a smaller 4.7-inch HD retina screen.
• Processor: It could be powered by the A18 SoC. In comparison, the 3rd gen iPhone SE came with the A15 Bionic.
• Apple is rumoured to include ‘Apple Intelligence’ support on board.
• Cameras: Rumours claim the iPhone SE 4 will have a single 48MP Sony Exmor IMX904 on the back and a 12MP front camera lens. The previous gen model shipped with a 12MP rear camera and a 7MP selfie shooter.
• Battery: The phone is expected to pack a 3,279mAh battery, a sizeable jump from the 2,018mAh cell on the predecessor.
• Others: The iPhone SE 4 may get an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, Face ID for security, 20W wired fast charging, and Qi2 and MagSafe wireless charging.

The phone is expected to have a more modern design, with a wide notch and slim bezels. The iPhone SE 4 is tipped to cost between $499 (approx Rs 42,220) and $549 (around Rs 46,400). For comparison, the iPhone SE 3 launched in India at Rs 43,900 for the base model. If the next iPhone SE 4 is coming in March, it should also make it to India around the same time.
