Apple is expected to introduce its next-generation iPhone SE 4 or as some rumours claim, iPhone 16e in the next few months, possibly in March, with some rumours suggesting April. Recent leaks hinted at what to expect, including Apple’s first in-house 5G modem. Ahead of the launch, the alleged dummy units of the iPhone SE 4/iPhone 16e have surfaced online.

• Going into details, X user Sonny Dickson has shared two images of the iPhone SE 4/16e dummy units.
• The first one shows the phone in black and white colours, which Apple is usually said to use when designing its phones.

• We see a single protruding rear camera along with a tiny cutout possibly for a microphone and an LED flash module right beside it. There is no Apple logo present considering it is a dummy unit.
• The other image shows the side profile of the phone, with the volume rocker, mute switch and SIM tray slot.
• The iPhone 16e/iPhone SE 4 has a boxy chassis with rounded corners for better grip.
• While the front design of the phone is not revealed, it is rumoured to feature a notch design with slim bezels.
• Since the authenticity of the leak can’t be confirmed at the moment, we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt.

iPhone SE 4/iPhone 16e: what do we know so far?

• Display: The iPhone SE 4/16e is said to feature a 6.06-/6.1-inch display with a 60Hz refresh rate. This is a leap forward from the 4.7-inch screen on the previous gen model.
• Processor: The phone could be powered by the A18 chipset and is believed to feature Apple Intelligence support like the iPhone 16 series.
• Cameras: There could be a single 48MP lens on the back. Recent reports suggest a 24MP front camera. In comparison, the previous gen model featured a 12MP rear and 7MP front.
• Battery: The phone is tipped to feature a 3,279mAh battery, a jump from 2,018mAh cell on the predecessor.
• Others: Face ID for security, 20W wired fast charging, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, USB Type-C port, in-house 5G modem, and Qi2 and MagSafe wireless charging.

As for the price, the iPhone SE 4/16e is rumoured to be priced between $499 (approx Rs 43,200) and $549 (around Rs 47,600). For comparison, the iPhone SE 3 launched in India at Rs 43,900 in March 2022. Like any other Apple product, the iPhone SE 4/16e will also debut in India alongside the global launch.
