Infinix Zero 40 5G specifications and design leak online ahead of launch | Tech Tips

The Infinix Zero 40 series could be launched soon. Both the 4G and 5G versions have appeared on the Google Play Console listing. Though the launch date is yet to be confirmed by the brand, the full hands-on pictures of the Infinix Zero 5G have now surfaced online. The leak also shows the camera features of the phone and what looks like the bundled case.

Infinix Zero 40 5G design revealed

• The live images (via) of the Zero 40 5G show off the complete design.
• The main takeaway of the design is the large circular camera module on the back panel.
• This appears to house at least triple camera sensors. The LED flash is present outside the circular ring.

• We see ‘Pro Video Stabilisation’ and ‘50MP OIS camera’ text engraved on the edges.
• The volume rocker and power buttons are placed on the right edge.
• The front of the phone has a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper and has narrow bezels to fit more content.
• The edges both on the front and the back have curved edges for better grip on hands.
• The alleged back cover of the phone has a leather finish and we can see a circular ring for wireless charging support, it appears to be similar to Apple’s MagSafe.

Another leaked screenshot of the camera UI shows the phone will come with a new ‘GoPro Mode”, which should enable seamless connectivity with GoPro devices. Probably like monitoring footage directly on the phone’s screen. Then there is dual video, which should enable recording videos from both the front and back camera.

The Infinix Zero 40 5G will reportedly come with 4K video recording at 60fps on both the front and rear cameras. There will be anti-shake technology (OIS+EIS) and a host of new AI tools to reportedly enhance the vlogging experience like assisting in the script, editing, shooting and even sharing.

Infinix Zero 40 5G specifications also leaked

The Infinix Zero 40 5G specifications have been leaked through an online listing ahead of the announcement. This shows the phone will come with a 6.78-inch 3D-curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. This is the same screen size as the Zero 30 5G from last year.

It could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset. This is revealed through the Google Play Console listing as well. This is compared to the Dimensity 8020 SoC on the previous gen model. There will be 12GB AM and up to 12GB virtual RAM support on board and a 256GB storage option.

The phone could house 45W fast charging and 15W/20W wireless charging. While this may seem like a downgrade from 68W charging on the predecessor, we get wireless charging support this time. Running the show is Android 14-based XOS 14.5 custom skin.

The Infinix Zero 40 5G could house a 108MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP sensor. We get to see a 50MP front camera. The ultra-wide-angle lens sees an upgrade from 13MP on the Zero 30 5G.

Reportedly, the 5G version should be sold in Violet Garden, Moving Titanium, and Rock Black. The Infinix Zero 40 5G is rumoured to debut on August 29th. We should know more details soon.
