Infinix Hot 50 5G India price range, key specifications, design revealed officially before launch | Tech Tips

Infinix India is launching the Infinix Hot 50 5G on September 5th, just two days from now. Ahead of the event, the brand has revealed the device’s design online along with the price range and key specifications like its camera and memory. So, here’s everything we know about the phone:

Infinix Hot 50 5G India price

The Infinix Hot 50 5G will be available in India through Flipkart for under Rs 9,999. This price, we assume, applies to the base variant.

It would be cheaper than what the Infinix Hot 40i launched in India, a few months back (Rs 9,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model). The Hot 40i is currently retailing for a lower price though.

Also, the older Infinix Hot 30 5G is selling for Rs 12,499 (4+128GB) on Flipkart.

So, the pricing seems interesting, especially considering this is a 5G phone like the Hot 30 5G.

Let’s see what we could get for this price:

Infinix Hot 50 5G design

Based on the images shared on Infinix’s social media and the dedicated microsite for the Hot 50 5G, we can see the phone in three colours viz. Blue, Green and Dark Grey (Black).

The phone is revealed to be 7.8mm thick. The Infinix Hot 50 5G will be “the slimmest 5G smartphone in its category”.

Meanwhile, Infinix has disclosed the phone has IP54 dust and water resistance and its screen would be responsive even with some splashes on the screen.

The front side seems to have a punch-hole cutout with a software-based Magic Ring for face unlock, and charging animation.

Rest, you can see in the above image that the phone has flat edges, a narrow vertical camera stack on the back, and both a volume rocker and a power button on the right side.

Infinix Hot 50 5G specifications

The Infinix phone is said to have up to 16GB RAM (probably with virtual RAM). As per a tipster, the phone has 4GB and 8GB RAM options along with 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. He also claims a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. This is a more powerful chip than the Unisoc T606 inside Infinix Hot 40i (review) and Dimensity 6020 inside the Hot 30 5G.

The Infinix Hot 50 5G will come with a TUV SUD A-Level 60-month fluency assurance. This rating certifies the phone can operate smoothly for up to 5 years.

Coming back to the surface, we see three lens cutouts on the rear camera setup, but we are told the phone has 48MP Dual AI cameras. There will be support for 12+ camera modes too.

In a matter of days, we will have the phone in for review to test these features and claims. So stay tuned for that.
