Honor Magic V3 foldable phone, MagicPad 2 tablet launched at IFA 2024: price, specifications | Tech Tips
The foldable Honor Magic V3 was launched in China in July, and now, the smartphone has been unveiled globally along with the Honor MagicPad 2 tablet at the consumer electronics and home appliances trade show IFA 2024 in Belin. While the smartphone is touted as one of the thinnest foldable and packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the tablet comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. Honor Magic V3, MagicPad 2 price, colour options
- The Honor Magic V3 will be available in the global markets at a starting price of EUR 1,999 (approx Rs 1,86,538), most likely for the 12GB+256GB storage.
- The newly launched foldable smartphone will be available for purchase in Green, Black, and Reddish Brown colour options.
- On the other hand, the Honor MagicPad 2 tablet will start at EUR 599, around Rs 56,000, and will be available in Black and Moonlight White colours.

Honor Magic V3
The Honor Magic V3 weighs 226 grams, has a folded thickness of 9.2mm, and is said to withstand up to 500,000 folding cycles. It flaunts a 7.92-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED LTPO inner display and a 6.43-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED LTPO outer display, similar to the Honor Magic V2. It is said to offer a global peak brightness of 1,800 nits and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits for HDR content.
The Honor foldable is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which we have also seen on another flagship foldable, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. It runs MagicOS 8.0.1 based on Android 14 and includes several AI features, such as Face to Face Translation, AI Eraser, and Notes, among others, alongside AI-enabled photography features.
The Honor Magic V3 sports a 50MP main camera, a 40MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP periscope telephoto sensor. The phone includes a 20MP sensor on the cover as well as on the main display for selfies and video calls. The Honor foldable has a 5,150mAh battery with 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support.

The Honor MagicPad 2 tablet weighs 555 grams and boasts a 12.3-inch 144Hz OLED display with features like AI Defocus Display, dual TÜV certifications, and more. It packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and operates MagicOS 8.0.1. The tablet also includes AI-driven office tools, like Voice to Text to Handwriting Beautification and Magic Portal.
The tablet sports a 13MP sensor on the rear and a 9MP sensor on the front. It packs a 10,050mAh battery with 66W fast charging support, which is more than the OnePlus Pad 2 and POCO Pad. The Honor tablet is equipped with IMAX-enhanced certification, a large amplitude eight-speaker system, Spatial Audio, and more.
