Honor Magic 7 series and MagicOS 9.0 launch dates officially revealed | Tech Tips
Honor Magic 7 series will be launching on October 30th, as confirmed by the brand officially through a Weibo post. The lineup is expected to be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm flagship SoC, probably called the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This will make the Honor Magic 7 one of the first, if not the first, phones with the latest chipset leaving behind Xiaomi 15 and the OnePlus 13. A week before the announcement, Honor will unveil the Honor MagicOS 9.0 on October 23rd. Separately, the Honor Magic 7 series specifications have been tipped by DigitalChatStation.
The Honor Magic is a flagship lineup that focuses on premium designs and hardware, including cameras. This time, with MagicOS 9.0, we will be seeing a range of new AI features.
Honor Magic 7 series launch date is here
- The teaser image reads “Witness the Magic of AI’, which suggests the Honor MagicOS 9.0 will be bundled with AI features.
- The Honor MagicOS 8.0 with Magic 6 series debuted earlier this year.
- The bigger news is the Honor Magic 7 series’ launch date confirmation. While the lineup is expected to arrive with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, there’s no official confirmation on this from the brand just yet.
- The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite is set to debut at the annual summit between October 21 and 23rd i.e. next week.
- There are reports that phones powered by the new chipset will debut on October 28th, which means there are chances the Xiaomi 15 and OnePlus 13 might still beat the Honor Magic 7.
Honor Magic Series 7 Pro hardware
In a new leak, DigitalChatStation has revealed details of a new Honor phone, which appears to be Honor Magic 7 Pro.
- According to him, the phone would come with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor for security, a 100W wired fast charging and there will be wireless charging option, which is believed to be 80W.
- The Honor Magic 7 Pro could get a micro-curved screen with ultra-thin bezels.
- Furthermore, the tipster added that the main camera and periscope telephoto cameras will remain the same as the previous generation models.
- However, the primary sensor will be OV50H instead of OmniVision OVH9000.
- This means we should see a 50MP primary camera and a 180MP periscope telephoto camera on the Magic 7 Pro.
- The tipster also mentioned the battery capacity will remain unchanged from the predecessor i.e. 5,600mAh cell.
- Lastly, the tipster adds the Magic 7 Ultimate Edition with OmniVision’s new OV50K large-sized image sensor is also under testing.
