Honor launched the Magic 6 Pro smartphone in India last August. It shipped with MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 out of the box. Now, the brand has started seeding the latest MagicOS 9 based Android 15 update for the flagship phone in the country. The software version was announced in October last year and it comes packed with plenty of features. As per the company, this makes the Magic6 Pro powerful, intuitive, and user-friendly than ever before.
Honor starts seeding Android 15 update to Magic6 Pro
- The latest MagicOS 9-based Android 15 update has the version number 9.0.0.131 (C185E10R2P2).
- The update file weighs 3.98GB in size and hence its recommended to download over WiFi or a stable network.
- The latest version is rolling out in a phased manner to ensure stability. Thus it may take some time to arrive on all devices.
- Users can also manually check for the update by heading to Settings > System and Updates > Software Updates.
MagicOS 9-based Android 15: what’s new
As per the changelog, the MagicOS 9 based Android 15 brings fluidity and responsiveness with enhanced animations. The user interface is also getting updated colour scheme, layouts, and homescreen personalisation that enhance usability. With the latest update, Honor is making the camera zoom experience intuitive and the interface is also more organised to access various functions easily. The software version also introduces AI Translate and AI Notes features. The MagicOS 9-based Android 15 update also comes with system and performance enhancements. The brand has made optimisations to the display, audio, and battery life. System apps are also updated to the latest version.
Although the update won’t delete any personal data, Honor still recommends users to take a backup before installing the MagicOS 9 version on the Honor Magic6 Pro.
