Honor 400 series to reportedly launch with a significant battery upgrade | Tech Tips
The mid-premium Honor 300 series was launched in China in December last year and comprised three models, the vanilla Honor 300, Honor 300 Pro, and Honor 300 Ultra. The lineup shipped with a 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (Pro and Ultra), and more. Now, it looks like the company has already started working on the successor, presumably the Honor 400, as initial leaks about the phones have now surfaced online.
Honor 400 series battery
- The Honor 400 series may also include the vanilla Honor 400, Honor 400 Pro, and Honor 400 Ultra.
- The lineup will reportedly feature a large 7,000mAh or above capacity battery.
- If true, this will be a significant upgrade over the 5,300mAh cell on the Honor 300 series.
- However, it isn’t clear whether all models in the series will get the same 7000mAh+ capacity battery or if it will be limited to the top-end variants.
- While the charging speed details are under wraps at the moment, the predecessor featured 100W SuperCharge fast charging, with 80W wireless support on the Pro and Ultra variants.
- The report further mentions the Honor 400 series will rock a metal frame. which should improve the durability.
- It is also said the Honor 400 Pro and 400 Ultra may ship with the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset, which is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 on the previous models.
- Lastly, the report predicts the Honor 400 series may debut in China in May 2025.
- For context, the Honor 200 and 200 Pro debuted in China in May 2024 at a starting price of CNY 2,699 (around Rs 31,900) and were expanded to India in July at Rs 34,999.
Since Honor hasn’t mentioned anything about the Honor 300 series global/India rollout just yet, it’s a bit early to speculate on the Honor 400 availability in the country. We should learn more details in the days to come.
