Google Pixel 9 Pro series price leaked ahead of August 13th launch | Tech Tips
Google is known to have a tough time keeping its upcoming products a secret. While almost everything about the new Pixel lineup is leaked, rumoured, or officially announced, a new listing reveals the supposed prices for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The leaked prices suggest the new phones could be more expensive than their predecessors. Here’s how:
Leaked Pixel 9 Pro series prices
A Google Pixel subreddit user with the handle @5XDylanBISHF shared a screenshot of T-Mobile’s Pixel 9 Pro series listing on Google.com. As per it, the Pixel 9 Pro will cost $999.99 (about Rs 83,934.16) and the Pixel 9 Pro XL (256GB) will start at $1,199.99 (about Rs 1,00,721.16). We believe these are the starting prices.
Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 launched in the US at $699 (about Rs 58,670.57), and the Pixel 8 Pro started at $999 (about Rs 83,851.07)
The Pixel 9 Pro price would seem just $0.99 higher, but from the leaks and rumours, we have learned the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be hardware-wise a successor to the Pixel 8 Pro. If that’s the case, the Pixel 9 Pro XL could be $200.99 more expensive than its spiritual successor.
The Pixel 9 Pro would sit in between the Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Take the following spec table for reference:

Although there’s been a rumour that the new Pixels may not ship with Android 15, they will get it very soon. Along with this, you could get new AI features like Add Me, Pixel Screenshots, etc.

So we are expecting several changes and upgrades in the new Pixel 9 Pro series. However, the market will tell if they warrant a higher price tag. Like in the above Reddit post, a person quips he will wait for the prices to drop in a future sale. Let’s see.
